Welcome to the Event Room for the AOSpine Webinar—Cervical spine MISS: Anterior vs. Posterior
Moderators: Christoph Hofstetter and Paul Taylor
Presenters: Richard Assaker and JinSung Kim
Description: Cervical degenerative changes may lead to symptomatic compression of the spinal cord or cervical nerve roots. Multiple strategies for decompression of neural elements in the cervical spine are available and should be carefully selected dependent on the location of the pathology, stability of the spinal column, and presence of spinal deformity. Anterior approaches include anterior cervical discectomy or disc arthroplasty. Posterior approaches include unilateral laminotomy for bilateral decompression or posterior foraminotomies. Posterior decompression may be carried out using either a microscope or endoscope for visualization. This second of a series of three webinars will go through the indications, techniques and possible complications of these cervical procedures, as well as provide valuable insights into choosing the optimal procedures for each individual patient.
Target audience:
Surgeons doing open surgery but with little or no MISS experience
Surgeons of any level without any experience with tubular or endoscopic minimally invasive cervical decompression
The event starts on May 6th at 15:00 Central European Time.
