The main aim of this course is to learn how to select the best treatment for patients with spinal metastasis. The course will elaborate on a multidisciplinary approach that considers the health and prognosis of the patient, the relevance of the metastasis and ways how to treat this. This will be accomplished with lectures that provide state-of-the-art knowledge from all disciplines (surgical, radiotherapeutical, oncological) as well as hands-on workshops on artificial bones.

Learning objectives
Select the best treatment for patients with spinal metastasis
Recognize what other disciplines can add to the treatment
Classify the stability of spinal metastases
Select the patients that will benefit from surgery, radiotherapy or both
Recognize which metastases have the potential for re-ossification
Practice the basics of radiotherapy planning and MIS stabilization
