The AO Spine Knowledge Forum (KF) Trauma and the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma (DGOU) joined forces to develop the osteoporotic vertebral-fractures classification system. In this research webinar, AO Spine KF Trauma invites the audience to join a battle between two internationally recognized experts, presenting their perspective on the surgical management strategy for osteoporotic thoracolumbar fractures.

After an introduction session, Alex Vaccaro will take the position that stand-alone kyphoplasty is sufficient to treat osteoporotic compression fractures, while Lorin Benneker is supporting instrumented stabilization. Whose side are you on? Can we persuade you to change your mind?

Target audience: Orthopedics, neuro- and spine surgeons
