In this course we will train the participants on micro-decompression and percutaneous fixation techniques providing an in-depth hand's on training incl. small group simulator exercises, case discussions, lectures and debates (the good-the bad-the ugly session).

MISS microsurgical techniques for decompression and fusion are now established tools that can contribute to better outcomes and less complications for patients with spinal conditions. Microsurgical MISS decompression techniques also allow us to treat patients with serious medical conditions when open surgeries may be contraindicated or those with high risk.
Percutaneous screw placement is an integral part of most MISS procedures requiring instrumentation. This can be effectively and safely achieved percutaneously, reducing unnecessary tissue and muscle dissection, bleeding, and enhances postoperative patient recovery.
