This course seeks to help orthopedic, trauma and neurosurgery young surgeons involved in spinal surgical care to improve their knowledge and skills in the assessment and management of common spinal conditions. It consists of a series of expert's lectures and comprehensive group discussions focused on spinal trauma and spine degenerative disorders topics.
The course includes practical sessions in which participants will have the opportunity to practice procedures with spinal instrumentation on the cervical and thoracolumbar spine models.

Learning objectives
Correctly select, use and position spinal instrumentation
Make adequate assessment of spinal injury and classify it
Propose appropriate treatment strategy for the injuries of cervical and thoracolumbar spine
Assess degenerative disorders of cervical and lumbar spine
Identify indications for surgical intervention of degenerative disorders
Propose appropriate treatment strategies for cervical and lumbar spine degenerative disorders
Propose appropriate treatment strategy for spinal infection and spinal metastasis.
