This comprehensive 2-day course will focus on primary and metastatic spine tumors, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and infection. Every session will consist of brief evidence-based lectures, but major attention will be on case discussions. Faculty will present cases with challenging surgery and with complex decision-making. There will be a radiology lecture on different bone marrow changes allowing participants to suspect the malignant nature on MRI imaging. Faculty will present options for treating the osteoporotic spine, challenges of surgery for patients with rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Current strategies of treatment of spinal infection will be discussed in detail. Led by experienced faculty, the seminar provides knowledge about the latest techniques and challenges of previously discussed topics.
