This 2-day seminar will cover different aspects of spine surgery and particularly pay attention to the problems of long-term effects.

“How come even if you follow all surgery protocols you don’t get the satisfactory outcome?”
“Why does the good result in the early post-op period doesn’t last and then leads to disappointment in long-term?”
“What is good and what is bad?”
“Is the recurrence always the result of a bad surgery?”
“What are we dealing with, the recurrence or a bad surgery?”
“What if the pain after the surgery goes “From Dusk Till Dawn”? Do pain must be fully gone?”

Interactive lectures, case presentations and discussions between the faculty and participants will allow us to get closer to the answers.

Learning objectives
Evaluate long-term clinical effect of the surgical treatment and spine injury according to modern classifications and AOS principles.
Choose the preferable type of approach and the length of fixation in case of spinal injury, with the prognosis for benign long-term effect.
Recognize advantages, disadvantages, and limitations of MIS & open surgery in case of DDD and predict the benign long-term effect.
Select the appropriate patient management of specific and non-specific spinal infections.
Determine the most appropriate approach to prevent the disk herniation recurrence and reoperation.
Perform and improve practical competency in assisted repair of above.
