Description
This symposium will address specific and controversial issues of ageing spine surgery like deformity correction, MIS techniques or tumor resections. New perspectives on ageing spine surgery offer new learning insights for even an experienced surgeon. Risk factors and complications are highlighted topics of the symposium.

This symposium will offer you a challenging learning experience with interactive sessions facilitated by faculty in their field of expertise, in a modular format.

The event will comprise of evidence-based lectures, case presentations, and debates and will provide ample time for discussion between faculty and participants.

Learning objectives
Module 1: Recognize the possibility for the minimal invasive surgery for segmental instability, select the appropriate surgical invasiveness and approach and decide on timing, approach and extension of surgery
Module 2: Select the proper treatment modality based on individual evaluation, prevention and management of complications with MIS and open VCF surgeries and use appropriate diagnostic and management tools for SIF
Module 3: Perform preoperative analysis on spinal alignment and balance, Select the proper correction method and Apply preventive actions and manage the biomechanical complications
Module 4: Apply evidence based systems to evaluate a spinal metastasis and consider the surgical morbidity in terms of the expected outcome
